postcard-frontA couple of weeks ago, the Coterie Spark team went on a jet set across the country for site visits and client meetings. First up, we touched down in Nashville for a site visit at the fabulous Gaylord Opryland hotel, where we spent 24 hours visiting with clients, mapping our site out and determining a strategic signage plan.

Next stop, a visit to LA and Santa Monica for meetings-24 hours on the ground, dashing from meeting to meeting and enjoying the scenic views of Santa Monica. It was a whirlwind week, filled with planning and ideas for upcoming projects.

That said, at Coterie Spark, we like to be ready to spring into action at a moments notice as we never know when a client will want to discuss logistics in person or when we will need to jump over to a new event location to map out a site visit. Because of this, we wanted to take a moment to pull together a few of our favorite “on the go” travel tips from the team to share with you today.

Rebecca advises, “Be sure you have a charged fit bit battery to be able to log all of those steps you’re making on your visits. Also- carry cash. You never know when you will be put on the spot for a quick cab ride or for a tip for generous hospitality on the road.“

Candace recommends always packing light, saying “I often make it a rule of thumb that I will only carry 1 bag on my trip, so my purse doubles for my overnight bag.”

While Candace packs light, Kelly always brings two pairs of shoes, “I like to pack heels so I feel confident and ready for an important meeting while also carrying a pair of comfy flats so that I can quickly transition from a board meeting to a board walk for the next site visit.”
