Our team is growing! Coterie Spark is thrilled to introduce our newest staff member, Jordan Starks. Jordan comes to us with an impressive background in event coordination, deep insights on the future of our industry, and endless enthusiasm for ensuring that attendees have the best experience possible at your events.

Check out the Q&A below to learn more about Jordan’s experience and why we’re so excited for her to start as our new Events Producer.

So, what’s your story? What path brought you to Coterie Spark?

I’ve been following Coterie Spark since I graduated from college. I love how passionate the team is and how they’ve embraced all kinds of innovation within the industry. Prior to joining the team, I had the opportunity to coordinate several different types of events and I always found corporate to be my favorite. Joining a team that specializes in corporate was the perfect fit.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

A combination of loving what I do and preparing for my future. I also love a good checklist and enjoy checking off daily tasks as they’re completed.

What do you love most about event planning?

I love seeing everything come together. So much effort goes into a successful event from planning to execution. It’s uplifting to see everyone’s hard work pay off. And when you know the attendees are having an unforgettable experience…that really makes it all worth it.

What’s a surprising fact about you that people wouldn’t guess?

I’m a Colorado native BUT I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding. I know, I know. Most people are shocked when I tell them this. Trust me, it’s on my to do list for the next winter season!

Inspirations in your career industry?

I’ve always loved Colin Cowie and Preston Bailey. They aren’t afraid to take risks and it shows in the production of their events. They also pay such close attention to detail.

Coffee or tea?

Tea! I actually just got my first tea pot and have been trying out as many different tea brands as possible.

What’s something you’re most excited about in this new position?

The growth I’m going to experience. The ladies I’m working with—Candace, Rebecca, Kelly and Hannah—are all super talented. I’m excited to call them my colleagues and I can’t wait to learn everything I can from them. I’m also excited to see all the new event trends that emerge in the coming months.

Got a hot tip for readers regarding events (something you wish more people knew)?

I think we’ll start to see more hybrid events this year, which will continue into 2022. With technology and event planning evolving rapidly together, there are endless possibilities for great event experiences.
